Viewed the following videos about reading journal articles: How to Read a Journal Article How to Read a Journal Article 2 Points to consider from the videos: -What is the point or thesis of the article? -What are the main arguments? -Why is the paper important? -How does this paper contribute to your field of study? -What are some keywords that may help you find other articles? -What papers does the author cite that may provide you with valuable information? 2. Researched 3rd and 4th journal articles. HW: 1. Logbook check next class for background research notes in logbook 2. 1 page, typed, double space, Times New Roman write up of one of your journal articles, include the APA citation- you should include important information from the background, methods, and conclusions.
