What did we do in class today?
Pick up lab notebooks-please return at end of class if photosynthesis not grades

Pick up lab notebooks- please remember to hand back in after lab session
Take plant masses- 1 person from each group Continue setting up lab if you didn't have time to write the procedure yesterday In BILL make a table with the following column headings: location, hormones released, responds to stimuli (which type?), hormone action Fill in the table with information about the pituitary, thyroid, adrenal glands, pancreas, and testes/ovaries 1. Notes: Flower structure, plant response HW: Read and take notes over sections 39.2 ONLY pages 824-826 and pages 838-840, Instagram photo due tonight 11:59 PM Warm-up: Define negative feedback. Provide an example.
Pick up lab notebooks at front of room- lab notebooks must be handed back in at the end of class each day this week. Put pre-lab in lab notebook and make pocket for lab handout. Absent Friday? See me to schedule quiz make-up. 1. Complete endocrine organizer 2. Transpiration notes and lab discussion 3. Lab set up and expectation discussion HW: Watch and take notes over crash course endocrine video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVrlHH14q3o Unit 6 Instagram photo due Tomorrow 11:59 PM No warm-up
1. Quiz 2. Nobel Prize Presentations 3. Notes: Endocrine organizer HW: Hair activity calculations, transpiration pre-lab, Thanksgiving bonus Pick up endocrine graphic organizer
Warm-up: Explain saltatory conduction. 1. Synapse diagram 2. Endocrine notes 3. Hair measuring HW: Study for quiz (nervous only) Warm-up: You are infected with a viral pathogen. Outline the steps of your immune systems starting with when the pathogen enters the tissue.
1. Discuss immune diagrams 2. Nervous system notes 3. Standard deviation activity? Pick up plicker cards
Warm-up: What is the role of Sodium, Potassium, and Calcium in Nervous system signaling? 1. Plicker quiz immune system 2. Inflammation notes 3. Discuss simulation 4. Immune diagrams HW: Finish Nervous system web quest Pick up T Cell/B Cell check list, immune diagrams, neuron simulation, and nervous system webquest from front of room.
Glue T Cell and B Cell check list into warm-up section of BILL Warm-up: Explain the main functional differences between the cell mediated immunity and the humor immunity, then complete the check list about T Cells and B Cells. 1. Notes: T Cell and B Cell Response 2. Computer lab for Nervous System https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/neuron HW: Complete nervous system simulation and "The Synapse" (pages 3 and 4) and #26 (labeling the neuron) in the Nervous system web quest if incomplete in class Hand in articles to red bucket- staple graphic organizer ON TOP of printed article
Hand in lab packets to the green basket- staple in this order: fingerprint, pGlo, online lab Warm-up: Make three column table with the headings 1st line of defense, 2nd line of defense, 3rd line of defense. Identify the components of each line of defense. 1. Presentations 2. Immune notes 3. Immune diagrams HW: Watch and take notes over Bozeman immune video (linked below), using chapter 43 identify the function of the following (cite the page you found the information on): neutrophils, eosinophils, dendritic cells, natrual killer cells, macrophages Warm-up: Create a table with innate immunity on one side and adaptive immunity on the other. List the cells and functions of the cells associated with both.
1. Finish Bill the body 2. Notes: Immune system 3. Immune diagrams HW: Article 1 graphic organizer and printed article due tomorrow, genetic technology labs due tomorrow Tomorrow's homework- Bozeman immune video. Watch and take notes. http://www.bozemanscience.com/immune-system/ |
