You will have some time in class tomorrow to finish Hardy-Weinberg •Three modes of selection: •Directional selection favors individuals at one end of the phenotypic range •Disruptive selection favors individuals at both extremes (usually less common in the original population) of the phenotypic range •Stabilizing selection favors intermediate variants (usually more common in the original population) and acts against extreme phenotypes Questions to answer: Based on the information above identify the type of selection occurring in cases 2-4. Explain your answer. Use data from your graphs to justify your response. You may need to compare them to your original population.
