Due Dates:
Due Dates:
- Last day to submit learning target reviews: Thursday, May 14.
- Last day for FRQ Completion: Friday, May 15 (time management plan below). This allows you to complete all the work before our AP Exam. You do not have to adhere to my suggested plan, but you do need to give yourself time to work on this.
- Please note that the last due dates are during the AP exam window. I know this is not ideal, but it is, unfortunately, the only way to give you enough time to complete this assignment.
- This is your only project option. Even if you are not taking the exam, you need to complete this if you want to raise your test average.
- Late assignments will not be accepted. You will not receive a zero if you choose not to do this, but you will not earn a test grade that should increase your average in our course. AND you will not have a document with content that could potentially help you on your AP exam.
- All work listed below must be YOUR OWN WORK. This is NOT a collaborative assignment.
- Choose 4 of the 6 units listed below to review. It is best to select those that are most difficult for you. Try not to let the number of learning objectives sway you. A unit with very few learning objectives likely requires more detail per objective.
- Unit 1A: Biochemistry (AP Classroom Unit 1)
- Unit 1B: Cellular Structure (AP Classroom Unit 2)
- Unit 2: Cellular Communication and Cell Cycle (AP Classroom Unit 4)
- Unit 3: Heredity (AP Classroom Unit 5)
- Unit 4: Gene Expression and Regulation (AP Classroom Unit 6)
- Unit 5: Cellular Energetics Only (AP Classroom Unit 3)
- Use the Google form to let me know what you are choosing. There is no limit to the number of people who can sign up for a unit. This is to help me stay organized while grading your work.
- Complete learning target reviews in WHOLE. Please only choose and complete 4 units - no partial units combined please
- The responses must be handwritten, but you do not need to print the handouts if you don't have access to a printer.
- If you would like to make your evidence of knowledge more creative, feel free to draw/illustrate as much as you like, but please include labels. Sketchnotes may be useful. I have provided a link to a sketchnote resource below. Drawing/sketchnoting is OPTIONAL. You may simply write your evidence as well.
- Please clearly label your learning targets, ratings, and responses in your BILL or drawings for ease of grading if you do not print the handouts.
- Evidence must be detailed and explained.
- Submit to Schoology in the appropriate assignment folder. You may submit as you finish each review.
- Complete four free response that correspond to your chosen units in Schoology after submitting your units. I will unlock the free response for you once you have submitted. To manage my time, I will only unlock FRQs from 9 AM to 10 AM each day. Please submit BEFORE 9 AM the day you want to complete an FRQ. Sharing of FRQ content is not allowed. Answers similar to another student’s work will not be accepted.
- You will have other assignments during this window, but this will be your primary assignment for the remainder of the semester. Other work will be reduced to allow time for you to work on this assignment.
- You may earn a bonus of up to 10% for completing additional units beyond the 4 required units.
- First Selected Unit: Submit learning targets Wednesday, April 29. Take FRQ Thursday, April 30.
- Second Selected Unit: Submit learning targets Monday, May 4. Take FRQ Tuesday, May 5.
- Third Selected Unit: Submit learning targets Friday, May 9. Take FRQ Monday, May 11.
- Fourth Selected Unit: Submit learning targets Thursday, May 14. Take FRQ Friday, May 15.
Unit Learning Target Reviews
You do not have to print these reviews. You may write your work in your BILL or on another sheet of paper. You do not have to rewrite the learning target, but please clearly number the learning target and what unit it is from. Your evidence should be be detailed enough that I do not need to see the learning target.
